Designed for new construction. Kwik-Brace slides apart to accommodate joists of 14-1/8" to 22-1/2". Nailing spurs allowfor easy brace positioning. Outlet box can be positioned in any location along the length of the brace. (5) 1/2" knockouts. Simple fastener for tightening outlet box and brace. Easy-to-follow instructions and mounting hardware included. Maximum fixture weight is 90 lb., maximum fan weight is 70 lb. Exceeds National Electrical code requirements. Recommended for earthquake areas.
