Create the beautiful weathered look with this uniquely formulated oil. When first applied, this product gives the wood surfaces of your home a delicate gray tone. Within time, your wood home will turn a beautiful, natural driftwood gray color. Resulting wood surfaces are attractively uniform in color and protect against mildew, mold, cracking, peeling, and blistering. Use on exterior wood that has not been previously treated or wood previously treated with bleaching oil or weathering stain. Ideal on siding, shingles, shakes, fences, rails, and on any type of uncoated lumber. Not recommended for trim or decking. If you desire an enhanced gray tone immediately use a 50/50 mixture of Cabot weathering stain, silver gray. It produces a self-protecting finish and achieves a uniform weathered look within 6 to 12 months. Approximate coverage on smooth, new wood: 400 sq. ft. to 600 sq. ft. per gallon, on rough new wood: 150 to 300 sq. ft. per gallon. VOC compliant in most areas.
